Tik VS Schokin
At the start of the second half of the distance they were left one on one in the fight for the win, and from then on, right up to the very finish (over the course of 38 laps), they dueled for victory in the race, repeatedly swapping the top spot with each other.
The future series champion Alex Schokin (LICH) started the final lap as the race leader. At the end of the lap, when the finish line was within arm's reach and it seemed nothing and no one could change the situation or keep his Dodge from Victory Lane, the lapped KAN and Butt-head made their contribution to the final order of finishing: without «warning» they deprived Schokin of the draft, «handing» it over to Tik.
«The Most Unexpected Race Outcome»
Kansas, Round 7.
With 5 laps to go, the yellow comes out. The leading quartet — #57, #3, #74, #113 — head into the pits, thereby releasing #64 into first position.
When the race resumes, only one lap remains to the finish. Behind #64 a serious showdown unfolds — after all, every one of those charging along in a tight pack behind the leader wants to win.
In the first turn #74 takes out #57, and right there the #113 and #33 cars make contact. Then, coming onto the frontstretch, #25, #113 and #3, failing to share the road, collide.
The winner of the race is #64 Sergey Komisarchik (Sinner).

Ten cautions and a 34-lap-long green-flag run (laps 55-89) allowed nine cars to stay on the lead lap. For the Pro Cup series, that number of potential contenders for the win (shortly before the wave of the checkered flag) became a record.

A.Schokin (LICH) led a total of 216 laps and won. His teammate O.Driver, having featured in several incidents, took second place, three laps down on his teammate.
«The One Who Could Have Been Champion, But Wasn't»
Before the start of the Pro Cup series, one of the most talented NR03 racers proved he was already capable of taking a swing at fighting for the title of the most prestigious series. Having won the Travel series and come within a whisker of the Intimidator title, he definitely knew what the secret of winning was and surely understood how to avoid the slip-ups that had hindered him before. The dedication and focus he showed in the last two off season series clearly demonstrated that Kan had not been wasting his time and had been diligently preparing for the main event at WRI.
There was no doubt that KAN 42 would make the Chase. Physical endurance is not something he lacks. Then again, we are not knocking coconuts off palm trees here, and in all likelihood psychological resilience was to play a far more important role.
Starting from the second round he entered the top-6, and from the ninth round almost to the very end of the series he sat in second position in the overall standings and contended for the title — right up until the moment he stopped showing up for the races.
Having refused to take part in the two final races, KAN did not bother to notify his rivals. Perhaps he informed his team of his reasons, but he clearly did not want it to become grounds for discussion by the other participants of the series — whose opinion never interested him and, more than that, mostly irritated him.

В начале второй половины дистанции они остались один на один в борьбе за победу и в дальнейшем вплоть до самого финиша (в течении 38-ми кругов) вели соперничество за победу в гонке при этом не однократно сменяя друг друга на первой позиции.
Будущий чемпион серии Alex Schokin (LICH) ушёл на последний круг лидером заезда. В конце круга, когда до линии финиша было рукой подать, и казалось, уже ни что и ни кто не может изменить положение, и помешать оказаться его доджу на "аллеи славы" свой вклад в итоговое распределения мест внесли отстававшие на круг KAN и Butt-head, которые без «предупреждения» лишили Schokin-а драфта, «передав» его Тику.
«Самый неожиданный исход гонки»

За 5-ть кругов до финиша появляются ЖФ. Квартет лидеров: #57,#3,#74,#113 заезжают в боксы и выпускают тем самым на первую позицию #64.
Когда гонка возобновляется до финиша остаётся всего один круг. За спиной #64-го разворачивается нешуточные разборки, ведь каждый из тех кто несётся в плотной группе позади лидера хочет победить.
В первом вираже: #74 выбивает #57, там же происходит столкновение между машинами #113 и #33. Уже по выходу на главную прямую, не поделив дорогу, сталкиваются #25,#113,#3.
Победителем гонки становится #64 Sergey Komisarchik (Sinner).

10-ть коушенов и лонгран длинной в 34 круга (55-89) позволили остаться в одном круге девяти машинам. Для серии Pro Cup такое количество потенциальных претендентов на победу (незадолго до отмашки клетчатого флага) стало рекордным.

«Тот кто мог, но не стал чемпионом»
Перед началом серии Pro Cup один из самых талантливых гонщиков NR03 доказал, что уже способен замахнуться на то, чтобы бороться за титул самой престижной серии. Одержав победу в серии Travel и едва не выиграв титул Устрашителя, он определённо знал, в чём заключался секрет побед и наверняка понимал, как не допустить тех оплошностей, что мешали ему ранее. Те самоотдача и настрой, что он демонстрировал в последних двух сериях off season, отчётливо показали, что Kan времени зря не терял и усёрдно готовился к главному событию на WRI.
В том, что KAN 42 попадёт в Чейз, сомнений не было. Физической выносливости ему не занимать. Впрочем, мы не кокосы с пальм сбиваем, и по всей вероятности психологическая устойчивость должна была иметь гораздо более важную роль.
Начиная со второго этапа, он вошёл в top-6, а с девятого этапа и практически до самого завершения серии находился на второй позиции в общем зачёте и претендовал на титул, вплоть до того момента, пока не прекратил выходить на гонки.
Отказавшись участвовать в двух последних гонках, KAN не стал уведомлять об этом своих соперников. Возможно, он поставил в известность о своих причинах свою команду, но явно не хотел, чтобы это стало основаниям для обсуждения другими участниками серии, мнение, которых его ни когда не интересовало и даже более того в основном раздражало.
