Heading into the final round of the series, Alexander Schokin had practically nothing to worry about as far as the outcome of the championship was concerned, but he still faced a most difficult task: to take a ninth win and thereby surpass the record for wins in a season, which still belonged to Beavis.

As had happened more than once before, in this race Alexander Schokin was in a class of his own. His win at Homestead Miami became his ninth of the season.

In the local battles, Sergey Anti finished the race in second place, thanks to which he beat Tik in the fight for second place in the final championship standings.

RacerX preserved his edge over Pab and moved ahead in the overall classification not only of him, but also of KAN, who — perhaps realizing the futility of his title hopes — left the series two rounds before its conclusion.

#01 Oliver Driver – 3rd place.

Damn, what an ambush that turned out to be. A tale of a brutal standoff between man and machine, in which man ultimately comes out on top.

#25 Dimon Borisoff – 5th place.

I have never had a better car than in that last Pro Cup race. And wouldn't you know it — I got a Black Flag.

After that, I charged through the remaining distance hoping for a caution; in the final third I tried to run down RacerX, but making up a whole lap was, of course, unrealistic.

#74 Tik – 6th place.

After a spin, I damaged the rear. Never spun once in practice — kind of strange.

Then the battle with the car began. At the first pit stop I dialed out 50 units of wedge. It was still loose as hell. At the second I took out another 100 of wedge — again no help, it kept getting loose. I scrawled all over the asphalt catching the car.

I made the third pit stop earlier than I really should have. Wound the wedge out to the stop — it was almost not loose anymore, but now, because of the excess weight at the front, the front edge of the car started scraping the asphalt. It went loose again. It was especially tough in T1; I had to take that corner with the brakes. T3 I took as usual. Only once the tires had scrubbed in — maybe because of the wear — did the car start running decently.
