INL Pro Cup, Round 17:"Mr. Consistency 110" . Watkins Glen

Starting from deep in the field, the future race winner found himself at the head of the pack by the end of the first third of the distance. Then, at mid-distance, he had to battle several road-course specialists, but in the closing stages of the race, invariably staying in the lead, he gave none of them a chance to get past and won in the end.

#57 Arzamasov – 2nd place

On the last restart I got hit by terrible lag. Everyone vanished. I pulled aside. Then they reappear — and there's a yellow. I thought it was because of me. Turns out it wasn't.

Ah! If only I could run it one more time. Just without the yellows. My setup was really built for long runs.

#113 Anti – 3rd place

It happens — sometimes you cool toward NR2003, but after races like yesterday's, you want to take the start again.

It turned out a good race, though 14 drivers is a bit few — but I suppose if there had been more, the yellows would have come more often too.
I made a couple of mistakes, picked up a BF while letting a kamikaze by under yellow in the esses, dropped to 10th, then fought my way back — I don't know how I ended up in 4th place. A pity the "wreckers" caused a caution 3 laps from the finish; I wanted to keep fighting for higher places. I didn't see the leaders all race — somehow I ran on my own. But I didn't waste my time: I actively used engine braking in the corners, and thanks to that I managed to keep a steady rhythm. Somehow I never pulled that off before in NR2003, only in rFactor. All in all, time well spent. Thanks for the company.

Because of the slowpokes on the last restart I got a BF, lost second place and 2 laps.

Even though I slammed into Pab and lost a very high position at the finish, I'm pleased with the race.

#64 Komisarchik – 10th place

I got caught in the quicksand, didn't think to call a tow truck, and quit

#42 van Brakel – 14th place

I almost fell asleep during the yellow. After the third yellow, in order not to harm myself and the other participants of the race, I decided to disconnect. It was a shame to give up the fight, but it had to be done.
