After just the first quarter of the distance it became clear that the fight for the win would carry on strictly between #57 Alex Arzamasov and #113 Sergey Anti.
As the race went on (during the long runs) it emerged that Arzamasov was showing consistently high speed, whereas Anti, despite noticeably better acceleration on the restarts, could not sustain his rival's pace afterwards.
Still, it was precisely those confident restarts that let Anti keep the intrigue in the race alive right up to the finish. In the end, though, the advantage in speed made itself felt, and every time Arzamasov managed to run down and overhaul his rival.

The debut of INL WRI newcomer Denis Borodin, who, despite a string of troubles and the lack of a wheel, managed to cover 222 laps of the distance and see the wave of the checkered flag.

Thanks for the congratulations! I really enjoyed the fight for the win! Anti was damaged. Catching him didn't take me too long, but getting past was very hard (maybe I overdid something in the settings at the last pit stop). Almost three hours' worth of fatigue vanished in an instant. I nearly ripped the wheel off the desk.

P.S By the way, for some reason it felt to me like there was less grip in the race than in practice. Not by much, but still. Then again, that's probably because I was playing it safe...
#113 Sergey Anti – 2nd place.
I wasn't too worried — I was deliberately holding Arzamasov up, since my car was damaged and I was losing 0.2 every lap, and after he got past me I simply tried to stay as close as possible. Even on the straights, in the draft, I was no faster than Arzamasov.
Alex, congrats on the win! That was a good fight — in the middle of the race there was a spell when I thought I'd fall asleep.
#95 Alex madlopt – 4th place.
Somewhere after lap 40 (I don't remember exactly) I spun and damaged the engine — purely my mistake. The setup was very stable (last year's), so much so that I overestimated the grip, didn't lift when the car got sideways and stamped myself into the wall. Before that I could still somehow contend with the leaders; afterwards, not a chance. Though I wouldn't have managed to win even without the crash — my setup was too slow. The only thing it was good for was turbo-starts.

Thanks everyone for the race. It was the first online race of my career, and with the cockpit view at that, while steering with a flight-sim joystick and working the throttle with a keyboard key.
After long experiments I realized the joystick is better than the keyboard, so if I got in anyone's way, I apologize.
Though in my opinion not everyone can pass cleanly, some made their passes very delicately. The #95 car especially stuck in my memory. I don't think we tangled even once during the race.
